The head of the State Forces Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, said on Wednesday that Iraq is keen to attract reliable international companies.
Sayyid al-Hakim said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "During our reception this morning, the French Ambassador to Iraq, Éric Chevalier, we discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the success of the visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister to Paris and the positive dimensions of this visit," indicating "Iraq's seriousness in establishing balanced international relations, and its keenness to attract sober international companies to provide services to the people."
He pointed to "the importance of transforming bilateral agreements into work programs governed by specific time limits," calling for "taking advantage of the opportunities offered by Iraq in the field of reconstruction, housing and development."
For his part, Chevalier stressed "France's support for the stability of Iraq," expressing "his country's desire to implement major projects in the fields of energy and transport, and to cooperate with the Iraqi government in the fight against corruption."
