Oil Ministry expands using liquid gas system for vehicles

    The Ministry of Oil announced on Wednesday the finalization of draft partnership contracts with private sector companies specialized in the manufacture of liquid gas systems for vehicles.
     
    The ministry's spokesman, Assem Jihad, said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The ministry has finalized the draft participation contracts with private sector companies specialized in the manufacture of liquid gas systems for vehicles, which will work in cooperation with State Company For Gas Filling & Services in increasing the number of technical workshops to add the system in Baghdad and the provinces."

    He stressed "the importance of expanding the use of the gas system for vehicles by citizens, because of its great economic and environmental returns, which are represented in converting the fuel used in vehicles into clean fuel that is less expensive and harmful to the safety of society, because it is environmentally friendly and relieves the citizen of the exorbitant financial expenses of using gasoline fuel."
    For his part, the general director of the State Company for Gas Filling & Services, Anmar Ali Hussein, said that "the committee in charge has completed the preparation of the economic feasibility study and the mechanisms for contracting with specialized companies."
     
    It is noteworthy that the Cabinet issued its decision No. 360 of 2017, which includes in paragraph 5 of it, authorizing the Ministry of Oil / State Company for Gas Filling & Services to enter into partnership contracts with specialized companies to expand the workshops for adding these systems and establishing liquid gas filling stations throughout Iraq.
