The media office of the Prime Minister announced the opening of an airlift to both Syria and Turkey, to send urgent relief aid.
This came under the direction of Prime Minister Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, and with the aim of providing humanitarian aid to those affected by the earthquake that struck southern Turkey and northern Syria, Iraq opened on Monday, an airlift to both Syria and Turkey to send urgent relief aid. “It includes emergency medical materials, first aid, shelter, relief supplies, in address to quantities of medicine and fuel,” according to a statement by the office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement included that this also “comes within the framework of the Iraqi commitment to humanitarian communication with brotherly and friendly peoples, and solidarity with the victims of the humanitarian disaster."
