Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, affirmed Thursday the ministry's keenness to tighten security measures at the Zurbatiya border port.
Al-Shammari told the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We discussed with the governor of Wasit, during our visit to the province, all security plans," noting that "our tour will include inspecting the security departments in the province."
Al-Shammari added, "We will review the work of the traffic and Iraqi national ID departments and direct the facilitation of procedures for citizens' paper work," stressing that "we are keen to tighten security measures at the Zurbatiya border port."
