Paulo Dybala not only cut his vacation short after the World Cup, he also handed over his winner’s medal to the Roma Historical Archive.
The Argentina international was part of the squad that lifted the trophy in Qatar last month and played in the Final, scoring one of the goals in the eventual shoot-out victory over France.
Unlike other players in the same team, Dybala decided to return ahead of schedule to Italy so he could resume training with his club.
Now Dybala has shown his affection for Roma in a different way, entrusting his World Cup winner’s medal to the club’s Historical Archive.
It means fans will be able to see the precious item during their tours of the club museum.
This is only a loan, of course, and the medal will return to Dybala eventually.
La Joya joined the Giallorossi as a free agent over the summer from Juventus, amassing seven goals and two assists in 12 games between Serie A and the Europa League.
