Military Intelligence Directorate announced Sunday the arrest of eight terrorists in five governorates.
The Directorate stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "based on accurate intelligence information of the departments and divisions (intelligence and security) of the Basra, Maysan, and Anbar Operations Command, and the Seventh, Tenth, and Fifteenth Divisions, and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the brigades of those commands, tight ambushes were set up in separate areas of the above-mentioned governorates, which resulted in the arrest of (8) terrorists wanted by the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 terrorism) in the districts of Al-Qaim, Tal Afar, Qalaat Saleh, Heet, Al-Mahmudiya, Al-Ramadi and Al-Madinah.
The Directorate added, "The terrorists were duly handed over to the requesting authorities."
