Iranian Energy Minister arrives in Baghdad

    Iranian Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi arrived in the capital, Baghdad, today, Sunday.

    The media office of the Minister of Electricity said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadhil, received - this evening, Sunday - the Iranian Minister of Energy, Abbas Ali Abadi, and his accompanying delegation at Baghdad International Airport." 

    The statement added, "The two parties are scheduled to hold talks tomorrow regarding energy supplies from Iran to Iraq, and ways to ensure their stability." 

    He continued, "This visit comes after the visit of the Iraqi government delegation headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to Tehran last week; to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries in the field of energy."
