Basra province is preparing to host the third friendly match of our national team against Costa Rica, on the 17th of this month at Basra International Stadium, as part of the two teams’ preparations for the upcoming tournaments.
"All logistical matters for holding the match have been completed, and various local committees have been formed, including the media committee," The official spokesman for the Iraqi Football Association, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, said in a statement to Al-Sabah newspaper, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Moussawi added, "Our team's match with Costa Rica will witness a positive atmosphere and a high attendance, in addition to the positive messages that will be sent about the security, safety, love, and peace that Mesopotamia enjoys."
