    What distinguishes parachuting from other sports is that it takes the sky as a playground and the wind is a track, its practitioners race against the clouds and face gravity in pursuit of thrill and show boldness and courage .
    Paratrooper Mustafa Hussein Hadi, one of the founders of the women's parachutes, confirmed that "the idea of establishing the women's team did not come from a specific person. Rather, everyone's idea was to form an integrated team in all respects, especially after obtaining international paragliding certificates from outside Iraq," indicating that "there are factors from The first and the most important of which is to be smart and have an intuitive speed in the air, to remedy situations wisely in case something goes wrong.


    Hadi continued, "The Air Sports Federation is a support association for the team in all festivals, as it provided new parachutes for the year 2021 in addition to financial and moral support and the team's participation in festivals and tournaments," noting that "the police club only provides material and moral support, and he asked us to provide umbrellas." And outside camps in preparation for the representation of the green harp in the upcoming external benefits.
    Kadhim added, "The team joined the Police Club, and there are promises by the club to provide a private plane in addition to modern parachutes, according to the recommendations of the club president and supervisor of the parachute jump team, Wahab Al-Taie, and there is an intention to open an academy for the club that is interested in the sport of parachute jumping, and the idea of establishing a special league has also been proposed." Paratroopers in Iraq, due to the presence of approximately six teams distributed in Baghdad, Mosul and Wasit, in addition to the sport of paragliding in the Kurdistan region, and it is considered a part of air sports as well  .
    For his part, parachutist Karam Abbas Kadhim confirmed to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "parachute jumping in the past was intended for military classes, after which it became available to civilian amateurs, and due to the lack of civil aviation, this sport became directly linked to the army aviation leadership that provides aircraft." Pointing out that "the paratroopers team desperately needs a plane and parachutes, and everyone knows the cost of these materials."
    "Important tournaments await us to choose the representatives of the national team to represent Iraq in international forums," Kadhim added, noting that "all the paratroopers of the former national team are soldiers whose ages have grown too old and a new team must be formed."

    Hadi added that, "If the national team is formed, it will participate in many tournaments and events, including the formation of domes, free jumping and meeting in the air," stressing that "the only obstacle facing the team is to provide a private plane that has a fixed wing, and there is an idea to invest in this sport and buy a plane." For the team. "

    Hadi expressed his hope "to provide real material support," explaining that "the team is preparing parachutes from its own expense in addition to the training camps."
