The office of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, condemned the terrorist attack in Pakistan today, Friday.
A statement from the office of Sayyid al-Sistani received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): stated that "once again, extremist terrorists committed a heinous crime, as they carried out an armed attack on travelers who were on their way from Parachinar to Peshawar, which led to the martyrdom of a large number of innocent believers and the injury of others."
"We offer our heartfelt condolences to you, and express our regret and sympathy to the bereaved families, and we ask God for patience and solace for everyone, a speedy recovery for the wounded, and high ranks for the martyrs of this painful incident."
Accordıng to the statement "The religious seminary (Hawza) in Najaf and the supreme Shia authority condemn this heinous crime that targets the unity of Muslims," and demand, "the government of Pakistan to take effective measures to protect defenseless citizens from the injustice and crimes of terrorist groups, and to take the necessary preventive measures, and not to allow innocent believers to be subjected to violent and brutal attacks by extremist and radical groups."
The statement concluded, " We ask God to grant the honorable people of Pakistan permanent glory and dignity."
