Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani and the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq Johannes Lindert Sande discussed on Saturday, ways to enhance joint cooperation in economy and security.
Al-Sudani received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands to Iraq, Johannes Lindert Sande and his accompanying delegation. The delegation handed over a congratulatory message from Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, on the occasion of the government formation and obtaining the confidence of the Iraqi Parliament, according to the Prime Minister's Media Office in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
During the meeting, they also discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to enhance joint cooperation in a number of economic and security fields, as well as in the areas of climate change, agriculture, water and education.
Both handled the Dutch government initiative to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the field of counter-terrorism and combating extremism, in addition to the cooperation with security ministries to transfer expertise and training in the field of cybersecurity, drying up the sources of terrorism and combating drugs.
