The Iraqi Drilling Company (IDC) announced on Tuesday, completing the drilling of the oil well (Nasiriya 51) in Dhi Qar province, confirming the drilling and reclamation of 131 wells in Iraqi oil fields during the current year.
IDC Director General Basem Abdul Karim Nasser, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA),"The technical and engineering staff of IDC completed drilling well 51, with a depth of 2,109 meters, as part of the contract with Dhi Qar Oil Company to drill 20 oil wells in Nasiriyah oil field in cooperation with (Weatherford International) to provide oil services”.
Nasser stressed that "IDC completed, during the current year, the drilling and reclamation of 131 oil wells, in the Iraqi oil fields," noting that "the company has 43 drilling and reclamation rigs, including 30 modern rigs ranging in capacity between 500-3000 horsepower, and its work extends along the geographical area of the country's area ".
