Iraq.. Strategic plans to implement projects for drilling and reclamation of oil wells

Ministry of Oil counted the number of completed Thursday wells during the current year 2022, while revealing strategic plans to implement projects for drilling and reclamation of oil wells.
 
The Iraqi National Oil Company (INOC), one of the companies of the Ministry of Oil, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Iraqi Drilling Company to dig wells has developed ambitious plans to implement new drilling and reclamation projects," confirming "the company's intention to carry out new work in the Rumaila field in Basra,the East Baghdad field, and other Iraqi fields, in addition to continuing to implement drilling and reclamation projects in the Basra fields (Zubair, Majnoon and West Qurna), the Nasiriyah field, the Gharraf field and the Maysan fields, and the implementation of all national efforts plans in the event that financial allocations are provided by the National Company.
 
The company added, "The most prominent new drilling and reclamation projects are a project to drill (15) wells in the Rumaila field for BP, a project to drill (27) wells in the East Baghdad field by a turnkey method for EBS, and a project to reclamation (150) wells in the fields of Maysan".

It pointed out that "one of the most prominent projects is the operation of two reclamation devices on the basis of the daily wage in favor of Al-Waha Company in the Ahdab field, and a contract to provide one device to implement reclamation operations in the Siba field for the benefit of Kuwait Energy Iraq Limited KEIL in the manner of the daily wage, in addition to a contract to provide a device one to carry out reclamation operations in the ninth block field for the Kuwait Energy Company, Basra Limited KEBL, using the daily wage method.

It also added, "The development of work mechanisms in the company is carried out in accordance with international standards with regard to safety systems, engineering inspection, quality management concepts, and environmental requirements in operating devices with foreign companies, and activating this trend in working with the national effort as well, especially in the field of QHSE."

It explained, "The company is currently working in accordance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) to keep pace with global work regarding regulations and standards," noting that the company has concluded many partnership contracts with various discreet companies to implement the work entrusted to it in the field of oil services.

The company pointed out that "developing the capabilities of national cadres, both scientifically and practically, came as a result of joint work with drilling companies and international oil services," noting that "there is an agreement with specialized companies to train and grant drilling and reclamation cadres the international certificates required in standard oil operations, which were awarded many among them are for our cadres, the most important of which are (Well Sharp) and (IWCF) certificates.”
 
It also confirmed, "The number of oil wells that have been completed during the current year (92) wells, through drilling (26) wells, reclamation and completion of (66) wells in the fields of Basra, Maysan, Dhi Qar, and also in the fields of Kirkuk Governorate."
