New protests began on Saturday on the third anniversary of the October 2019 demonstrations.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that: "The demonstrations started in Tahrir Square amid the spread of security forces in the demonstration areas to secure the protesters."
He added that "The protesters raised Iraqi flags and chanted slogans against corruption and quotas."
Earlier, the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, issued 10 directives to all the security services, to deal with the demonstrators and secure them.
