Kurdistan Democratic Party - KDP bloc in the Iraqi parliament condemned on Wednesday, the Iranian bombing of the region, while noting that the export of internal crises is an escape forward.
"We strongly condemn the recent Iranian bombing of sites in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which inflicted human and material losses among the region's safe citizens. We reject and denounce this bombing, which seemed to be repeated in an unjustified manner," said the bloc in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
The statement included that, "exporting internal crises cannot solve any problem or issue. Just as we reject the KRG lands to be as a starting point for any hostile actions to neighboring countries. We also reject the neighboring countries' resort to military solutions, artillery and missile strikes inside the country. The region distances itself from the internal problems of neighboring countries that can only be resolved through dialogue, even after a while.”
The bloc called "the federal government to take bolder stances towards these Iranian aggressions, which are incompatible with good-neighborliness and the solid relations between Baghdad and Tehran," explaining that "going for addressing the UN Security Council by Baghdad is one of the solutions offered."
