Iraqi junior U-17 national team achieved an important win over the Comoros team on Saturday, at Mostaganem Stadium in the Algerian city of Oran.
Two goals to one, was the match result as with six points, Iraq now tops the third group.
The match started with an attack play by the Comoros from Karim Sayed that passed in front of the goal. the Iraqi team team responded strongly and controlled the match, as Mustafa Ammar’s shot almost scored, but it passed next to the post.
Ali Akbar was able to open the result in the 27th minute from a pass, scoring the goal of progress. The Iraqi team almost doubled the result, had it not been any respond to Mustafa Ammar, so the first half ended with the progress of Iraq. A goal for null in return.
In the second half, Iraq controlled the game, but a counter-goal by player Ali Salim in the 60th minute pushed players forward for compensation, and in the 65th minute, Karrar Jaafar got a penalty kick kicked by Hassan Ali, which was returned by the goalkeeper to be completed by Ali Akbar Tahir to achieve the second goal.
As for the remaining time of the match, Iraq narrowed the spaces and relied on the counterattacks, which almost resulted in two forwarding pluses for Karrar Jaafar.
