     The Brazilian club Cruzeiro revealed that Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, known simply as Ronaldo and also known by his nickname “The Phenomenon”, has been infected with the emerging Corona virus.
    The club said that Ronaldo will not attend the celebration of the 101st anniversary of the founding of the “Cruzeiro” club, which is its largest contributor since last month.

    The Brazilian football legend, Ronaldo, had announced a few days ago that he had bought Cruzeiro club, which gave the 2002 World Cup champion his first professional chance, but he has been playing for two seasons in the local second division.
    “I am very happy to conclude this deal,” Ronaldo said in a video posted by club president Sergio Santos on social media.
    The retired star added, carrying the club’s shirt with the number 9 on his back and the word “Phenomeno”, meaning the phenomenon, the name that the former Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and Milan player was famous for: “I have a lot to return to Cruzeiro, to take Cruzeiro to where he deserves.”
    He explained: “We have a lot of work to do. I ask the fans to reconnect with the club again and go to the stadium because we will need a lot of strength and unity. We have a lot of work and ambition to make Cruzeiro great again.”

    According to Globo Sport, Ronaldo will pay around 60 million euros to become the biggest shareholder in the club.
    It is noteworthy that Ronaldo suffered 3 serious knee injuries during his career in 1999, 2000 and 2008.
    During his brilliant career, Ronaldo was crowned with all possible titles, most notably the FIFA World Player of the Year award on three occasions in 1996, 1997 and 2002.
