Airlines denies stealing one of its planes at Baghdad Airport

    The Iraqi Airways Company, one of the Ministry of Transport's formations, denied what was reported by the media about the theft of an Iraqi Airways plane from Baghdad International Airport, and the detention of another at Dubai Airport.

    The company explained in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "at a time when Iraqi Airways is making great efforts in the field of air transport to become one of the leading airlines in the region and the world, according to international classifications, some bodies affiliated with the media have resumed broadcasting information A liar trying to harm the reputation of the national carrier.".

    The statement added, "The latest circulated news was the theft of one of the Iraqi Airways planes from Baghdad International Airport, as well as the detention by the Dubai International Airport administration of an Iraqi plane after it broke down in it, and the discovery of stolen spare parts on this plane, according to what was exchanged on some malicious channels and pages. Noting that "this information is incorrect, and that all Iraqi Airways planes that carried out flights to Dubai Airport returned to Baghdad International Airport."
