Mbappe nominates three players to win the 2022 Ballon d'Or

Paris Saint-Germain striker, French international Kylian Mbappe, nominated himself, along with two other players, to win the Ballon d'Or, awarded annually by France Football magazine to the best player in the world .

"I nominate Karim Benzema, then I and Sadio Mane" to win the Ballon d'Or this year, Mbappe said during an interview with the French magazine "France Football" .

He added, "Benzema achieved great success, and presented the best seasons of his life. He reached 34 years old, won a new title for the Champions League, and was decisive in many times ."

"If I were Karim Benzema, and I didn't win the award this year, I would have stopped thinking about the Ballon d'Or forever ."

On Friday, France Football magazine announced the list of nominees for the 2022 Ballon d'Or, and included 30 players, led by Benzema, Mbappe and Mane .

The winner of this year's Ballon d'Or will be announced on October 17 in Paris .
