Deputy Speaker of Parliament directs not to attack protesters

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah Ahmed, directed, today, Saturday, not to attack the demonstrators.

A statement by the Office of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "Abdullah directed the protection regiment of the parliament building not to use force or attack the demonstrators who entered the parliament building (the People's House) to express their opinion and their will must be respected," calling on "demonstrators to need to Preserving peaceful demonstrations, not harming or encroaching on government buildings, and protecting state institutions.
