Defense Minister Jumaa Enad discussed Wednesday with the Italian Army Chief of Staff means of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of training and exchanging military expertise.
A statement by the Ministry of Defense, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Minister of Defense, Jumaa Inad Saadoun, met in his office, at the ministry's headquarters, the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army and his accompanying delegation."
The statement added, "During the meeting, they discussed means of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of training and the exchange of experiences between the Iraqi and Italian ministries of defense."
