Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani on Thursday affirmed the government's support for strengthening police work.
Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani said in a post on x platform obtained by the Iraqi News Agency INA that “On the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Police, we salute the sacrifices and performance of all service members of this essential institution, which plays a crucial role in maintaining order, supporting the state, enforcing the rule of law, and preserving civil peace, in addition to its honorable role in combating terrorism. “
Al-Sudani further said “On this national occasion, we reaffirm the government’s commitment to supporting the police force, enhancing its operations, and equipping it with the best material, scientific, and technological capabilities. We also stress adherence to the principles of human rights, safeguarding the dignity of citizens, and enforcing the law with equality and justice, free from favoritism.”
He concluded saying “Glory and honor to the martyrs of the police and all our noble martyrs.”
