The Security Council's statement supports Iraq and it is first of its kind, MOFA says

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA confirmed on Tuesday, that the statement of the Security Council supports Iraq's stance, while noting that it is the first of its kind.
 
Ministry spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The statement of the Security Council that condemned the attack on Iraq's sovereignty is the first of its kind in the context of a series of Turkish violations against Iraq’s sovereignty and security."
 
The statement added that "The content of the statement supports Iraq's stance and places the procedure for considering an attack against the national sovereignty in a new context".
