Macron issues a decree to award the head of Iraqi CTS the Medal of High Honor

French President Emmanuel Macron issued On Monday, a decree conferring the head of the Counter-terrorist service (CTS) the High Honor.

The media office of the CTS stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "French President Emmanuel Macron issued a republican decree stipulating that Lieutenant-General Abdul-Wahhab Al-Saadi, head of the CTS, be awarded the High Medal of Honor."

The statement added, "The tradition came in appreciation of the great role played by the chief of the apparatus in defeating terrorist groups, defeating ISIS gangs, pursuing its criminal remnants, and the distinguished role he played in developing military efforts and relations between the two countries."
