An earthquake occurs in Kalar district

The department of meteorology of the ministry of transport announced on Monday, that an earthquake occurred in the Kalar district of the Sulaymaniyah province.

The department stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "an earthquake was recorded at exactly 11:04:53 this morning, local time, with a magnitude of (4.6) and is located (9) km southeast of the Kalar district of the Sulaymaniyah province.

The statement added, "It is felt by the citizens in the region," calling on "citizens to be careful and to stay away from rumors and fake news, and to abide by the seismic recommendations issued by the General Authority for Meteorology and Seismic Monitoring."
