SMC: two terrorists and an accused of financial corruption arrested while trying to enter Kirkuk

Security Media Cell announced Sunday the arrest of two terrorists and an accused of financial corruption cases while they were trying to enter Kirkuk Governorate.

The cell said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "to confirm its mission to thwart any plan to enter Kirkuk province by terrorists and outlaws, and based on accurate information from the Intelligence Division of the Eighth Mechanized Division and in coordination with the Intelligence Department of the Advanced Headquarters for Joint Operations in Kirkuk and in cooperation with a brigade." 31 mechanized infantry, the entry of two terrorists wanted by the judiciary was thwarted according to the provisions of Article 4 terrorism and another accused of financial corruption cases that caused wastage of public money while they were trying to enter Kirkuk governorate coming from one of the governorates.

SMC added that "in light of this, a tight ambush was set up for them in the checkpoint of Altun, and they were arrested," noting that "they were handed over fundamentally to the requesting part.”
