The General Company for Air Navigation Services identified today, Tuesday, the benefits accruing to Iraq from the return of American airlines flying over Iraqi airspace.
The company's general manager, Nizar Al-Ziyadi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "The return of American flights to using Iraqi airspace will have a positive impact on the rest of the international companies."
He added, "American Airlines is a reference for many international companies, and therefore it will increase the movement of aircraft transiting Iraqi airspace and increase income."
Yesterday, Monday, the Ministry of Transportation announced the resumption of American Airlines, the use of Iraqi airspace, after a break of several years.
The Minister of Transport, Nasser Al-Shibli, confirmed earlier that the passage of aircraft through Iraqi airspace rose to 450 plane during the war between Russia and Ukraine, noting that "the fees collected from the passage of each aircraft amount to 450 dollars, and this amount is excellent and supports the state budget."
