Al-Halbousi, recorded today, Saturday, his objection to the mention of the name "State of Israel" in the final statement of the Arab Parliamentary Union conference.
The media office of the Speaker of Parliament stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, registered his objection to the mention of the name (the State of Israel) in the final statement.".
Al-Halbousi stressed, according to the statement, "the replacement of the description (with the occupied Israeli entity), during the emergency conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union on the situation in occupied Jerusalem, which is currently being held in Cairo, the capital of the Arab Republic of Egypt.".
He stressed, "to include the House of Representatives' bill to pass a law prohibiting normalization with the Zionist entity."
