Basra Ports Company announced today, Monday, the suspension of marine operations due to the dust storm.
The media spokesman for the Basra Ports Company, Anmar Al-Safi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Basra's ports have stopped marine operations in the docking and departure of the incoming ships."
He added, "All marine activities, and loading and unloading operations have been suspended due to the dust storm, and the work movement will return to normal after its demise."
He pointed out that "it was not possible to obtain information, whether there was a similar impact on oil export operations in the port of Basra or not."
