Inauguration system for issuing and printing passports at Iraqi Consulate General in Istanbul

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Sunday, the opening of a system for issuing and printing passports at the Iraqi Consulate General in Istanbul.
    A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, and on the sidelines of the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Undersecretary for Political Planning Salih Al-Tamimi, and in the presence of members of the accompanying delegation, Ihsan Al-Awadi, head of the Department of Neighboring Countries and Mukhlis Ali, Head of the Consular Department, accompanied by the Consul General, Dr. Hussain Younis, inaugurated the system for issuing and printing passports at the Iraqi Consulate General in Istanbul on 28/4/2022.
    The statement added that "the step comes in light of the minister's directives to provide the best  services to our citizens, and within the framework of the ministry's plan to expand the provision of electronic services and automate the consular work, whether inside or outside Iraq."
      "the opening of this system will contribute significantly to shortening the time needed to issue ordinary passports to citizens." According to the statement.
