The Intelligence agency announced Sunday the arrest of a terrorist in Baghdad involved in the crime of assassinating the martyr, the Alexandria police chief.
A statement by the Security Media Cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "Through careful and continuous follow-up of the movements of ISIS terrorist gangs and based on information by one of the previously arrested suspects, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior was able to arrest a wanted terrorist according to the provisions of Article 4 terrorism, as he works in the so-called Wilayat of the South, and he also worked in the so-called Jihad Brigades, and he is involved in terrorist operations in Jurf al-Nasr, including the assassination of the martyr, director of the Alexandria Police Station in 2004.
It added, "His statements were initially and judicially confirmed by confession, and legal measures were taken against him to obtain his just punishment."
