A security operation launched northeast of Salah al-Din

Popular Mobilization Forces announced Thursday the launch of a security operation in northeastern Salah al-Din Governorate.

 A statement by PMF , received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the 22nd Brigade units within the Kirkuk and East Tigris Operations Command in the Popular Mobilization have embarked on a wide security operation to cleanse the Hamrin hills, northeast of Salah al-Din."

 The statement added, "This operation comes as a continuation of the second solid will operations to miss the opportunity for terrorist elements to find a foothold in those areas."
