The Popular Mobilization Authority announced the launch of a security operation east of Salah al-Din .
The authority said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a joint force from the army, rapid intervention and the 52nd Brigade in the Popular Mobilization Forces, today started a security operation east of Salah al-Din."
the Authority added that "the operation was launched based on intelligence information to eliminate ISIS remnants and secure areas east of Salah al-Din," noting that "the explosive-control detachments of the PMF managed to deal with an explosive device that was planted in the village of Debaj, prepared for detonation."
The security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces have recently intensified their operations in Salah al-Din Governorate to eliminate ISIS remnants and maintain the security of citizens.
