PM: Iraq is determined to establish stability in the region

Prime minister (PM) Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed on Wednesday, that Iraq is determined to establish stability in the region.
 
"PM received on Wednesday , the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraj Masjedi, on the occasion of the end of his duties as his country's ambassador to Iraq," media office of PM said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
Al-Kadhimi stressed during the meeting, according to the statement, "the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries, and cooperation in various political and economic fields for benefit of the two friendly peoples, Iraqi and Iranian."
 
He pointed out, "Iraq's determination to play its political role as a supporter of peace efforts and the consolidation of stability in the region, which will be reflected on the security and well-being of peoples and consolidation of their inter-cooperation."
 
Ambassador Masjedi expressed "Iran's interest in strengthening ties of friendship, cooperation with Iraq and joint bilateral work in accordance with aspirations of the two friendly countries."
