Muayyad al-Lami won Saturday the position of head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in the elections that took place yesterday.
Reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "Al-Lami got 1184 votes, while Khaled Jassim Ali won the position of first deputy after obtaining 740 votes, while Muhammad Hanoun won the position of second deputy after obtaining (664) votes."
He pointed out that "the winning members of the Syndicate Council are (Hassan Al-Aboudi, Jabbar Trad, Ban Al-Qattan, Saad Mohsen, Sadiq Faraj and Nadhim Al-Rubaie)."
He also noted "the results of the elections also resulted in (Hadi Jalou Merhi and Nadhim Takleif and Hibbah Hussein to the membership of the Monitoring Committee, while(Firas Al-Hamdani, Raad Al-Mashhadani and Karim Kalash) won the membership of the Discipline Committee.
