US President-elect Donald Trump confirmed on Wednesday that the crime rate in his country has reached a level that no one has ever seen before.

Trump said via his social media platform "Truth Social": "When I said that the criminals coming are much worse than the criminals we have in our country, this statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the fake news media, but it turned out to be true."

Trump added, "The crime rate in our country has reached a level that no one has ever seen before, our hearts are with all the innocent victims and their loved ones, including the brave officers of the New Orleans Police Department."
Trump confirmed that his administration will fully support the city of New Orleans during the investigation and recovery from this "pure evil act."
New Orleans authorities announced that 10 people were killed and 30 injured after a vehicle hit a crowd of people coinciding with New Year's celebrations.
