Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed, on Wednesday, the importance of Iraq's mediation between Tehran and Riyadh.
"We hope that the region will be more secure and stable. The most important bilateral issues were the issue of visa abolition across land borders," said Amir-Abdollahian in a joint press conference with the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs Fouad Hussein, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He pointed out, saying "Our relations come with a large amount of cooperation, including the high rate of trade exchange, which doubled four times than the previous government," praising the importance of Iraq, its regional role and mediation between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
“The meeting was also about Yemen and the importance of a political solution and the non-interference of foreign countries, as the solution is between the Yemeni people," he added, stressing that "the meeting discussed the Afghan issue and the targeting diplomatic places updates a few days ago, as well as there was a good gesture for flowers were presented in order to reduce the space of the attack,”
