Ministry of Transport announced Thursday that it answered 16 European questions regarding lifting the ban on Iraqi planes.
The Minister of Transport, Nasser Al-Shibli, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the European Union Aviation Safety Agency sent 16 questions regarding lifting the ban on the Iraqi planes and these questions were answered."
He added, "We are waiting for the agency to be convinced of these answers or not," noting that "Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi met with the European ambassador and promised him to lift the ban soon."
The Minister of Transport, Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, announced earlier that he was discussing lifting the European ban on the Iraqi planes with IATA, while stressing that lifting the ban is very soon.
