Al-Araji: Targeting Balad Air Base is a terrorist act

National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, confirmed today, Friday, that targeting Balad Air Base is a terrorist act.

Al-Araji said in a tweet on "Twitter" followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "targeting Balad Air Base is a terrorist act aimed at undermining our capabilities in Confronting the terrorist organization Daesh.”.

Yesterday, Thursday, the Security Media Cell announced the targeting of Balad Air Base with missiles.

The cell said in a statement, “The acts of criminal terrorist gangs will not pass without their perpetrators being behind bars and under the penalty of law, as these gangs that do not It wants stability for Iraq by firing 4 missiles, this evening, from the Khalis district, and they fell in open spaces at Balad Air Base, which includes Iraqi planes fighting terrorists and destroying strongholds of terrorism, and it has a major role in resolving many Iraqi military operations. 

The statement added, "Although these missiles did not cause any material or human damage, the competent authorities in the security services will pursue those who committed this cowardly terrorist act."
