Basra -INA
The Gulf 25 inspection delegation arrived today, Friday, in Basra to inspect the sports facilities that are scheduled to host the next Gulf 25, as previously scheduled, said the reporter of The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
The head of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, had confirmed last Wednesday his full support for Iraq's hosting of the upcoming "Gulf 25" competitions, while he was surprised by the decision to transfer the match between Iraq and UAE to Jordan.
Commenting on the questions raised recently following the visit of the delegation of the Arab Gulf Cup Federation to Kuwait to inspect its sports facilities while presiding over the meeting of the Executive Office of the Federation, Al-Thani said, "It is a routine visit that always takes place before any tournament to inspect the facilities of the host country, as well as the facilities of the alternative country."
