Kurdistan MOI demands a comprehensive investigation into the bombing of Erbil

    The Minister of Interior of the Kurdistan Region, Reber Ahmed, announced, today, Thursday his demand for the House of Representatives for a comprehensive investigation into the bombing of Erbil, while noting that Iraq's sovereignty is one and cannot be divided.

    The Minister of Interior in the Kurdistan Region, Rier Ahmed, said in a statement to a number of media outlets, including the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We thank the Parliament for hosting it today regarding the bombing that targeted Erbil," returning the hosting as "evidence of the region's understanding and center in facing challenges and risks." any Iraqi city.

    He added, "The sovereignty of Iraq is one and cannot be divided, and any targeting is a transgression for all of Iraq," noting that "the false allegations about the bombing were a cover for encroaching on a safe and civilian area that does not contain military elements." 

    He explained, "Members of the fact-finding committee visited the site and inspected the house and the rooms, which is a residence for a citizen and was not a source of danger to Iraq or neighboring countries," pointing out that "we reiterate our firm position on denouncing and condemning abuses. The Islamic Republic of Iran, especially since we have good neighborliness, common interests and trade relations, in addition to mutual visits."

    Ahmed said, "The Iranian side did not mention any information that this site constitutes a threat to neighboring countries."
