Karbala Operations Command announced today, Tuesday, that there are no roadblocks in the plan to secure Mid-Sha'ban pilgrimage, while indicating that preemptive operations were carried out before the pilgrimage.
Karbala Operations Commander Lieutenant-General Ali al-Hashemi said in a press conference attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Karbala Operations Command held the security conference for the pilgrimage of the Mid-Sha'ban," noting that "preemptive operations will be conducted to secure the province."
Al-Hashemi added that "Number of service and health plans will coincide with the conducted security plan," noting that "a special approach has been developed to secure the governorate's borders through special plans and proactive operations."
Al-Hashemi continued that "All the concerned ministries and departments participate in the plan to facilitate the entry and inspection of the pilgrims through different security lines."
