Baghdad-INA
The First deputy of the parliament speaker hakim Al-Zamili recommended on Wednesday to develop a real strategy for the development of the security and military institution, while confirming the support of the parliament for arming and military manufacturing to develop the capabilities of the security forces.
"Iraq after 2003 is different from before, as Iraq now does not have the same pre-2003 mentality," al-Zamili said in a speech at the opening of the Security and Defense fair, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Zamili called on "professionals in armaments and processing in the Ministry of Defense and the Military Industry Corporation, as well as the Ministry of Interior and other agencies of national security and intelligence, to benefit from local and foreign expertise in the development of military capabilities, especially in communications and advanced technologies."
"The parliament supports armaments and military industry with all that it has to develop Iraq's military capabilities in the interest of the country in defending Iraq's capabilities, especially us under the current circumstances," he said.
"It is important that there is a vision for the Interior Ministry in the priorities of arming, equipping, training and military manufacturing to develop our security and military institution," he said.
