DMC stresses the importance of establishing a cybersecurity center in Iraq

The Digital Media Center reiterated the importance of establishing a center specializing in cyber security in Iraq to protect Iraq's digital borders and space .

The center said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the adoption of the cybersecurity strategy, which was prepared by the CERT team and in coordination with the Prime Minister's Office, is an important step to protect the technical and operational systems and critical infrastructure in state institutions," noting that it " It provides methodological tools for responding to cyber incidents and minimizing the damage caused by cyber attacks.”.

The center stressed "the necessity of having a strategic vision and an integrated roadmap for building a solid cyber security system based on professionalism and specialization," noting that "what it presents and puts as its first building block is the cybersecurity strategy.".

The center explained that "the ideas of the strategy must be subject to periodic review and update its contents in line with the rapid development in the digital world, which is witnessing increasing progress in technology tools every day."
