Maysan Criminal Court: 7 years imprisonment for drug dealer

The Supreme Judicial Council announced on Wednesday a seven-year prison sentence for a drug sales suspect.
 
"The Maysan Criminal Court sentenced a criminal to seven years in prison for possessing 17 grams of crystal, 8 grams of opium and 15 glass tubes," the judicial council said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"The sentence against the convict is based on the provisions of article 28/1 of the Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act No. 50 of 2017," the statement added.
