Security operation launched in Tarmiya

The Popular Mobilization Authority announced Sunday the launch of a security operation in Tarmiya.
 
"A force from the 12th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization has launched a raid and search operation for several areas in Tarmiya," the Authority said in a statement received by the Official Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
 "The operation was launched under the direct supervision of the commander of the brigade to search and secure the rural areas in the district in search of terrorists who may be stationed in areas far from the city centers," the statement said.
 
"The operation also included intensifying the deployment of the brigade's forces and securing targets designed to maintain security gains and stability within areas north of Baghdad," the statement added.
