Support team for preparing the National Security Strategy held its first meeting, with the participation of professors and deans of faculties.
The National Security Adviser, Qassim Al-Araji, chaired the first meeting of the academic team supporting the preparation of the new National Security Strategy, in the presence and active participation of the heads of universities (Baghdad, Al-Mustansiriya, Technology, National Defense, Al-Bayan, Al-Amal), and a number of college deans and specialized professors, according to a statement issued by the National Security Advisory received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
“The meeting comes to develop a draft of the new national security strategy and to work hard to activate its implementation and achieve its objectives," the statement included.
Al-Araji welcomed the participation of university presidents, deans and specialized professors, stressing the importance of their role and their active participation, to enrich the mission in all its stages.
He directed the permanent committee to prepare the strategy in the National Security Advisory, to maintain communication with the participants in the meeting of their different specializations, to expand the scope of work and consultation, and to benefit from their scientific expertise, according to the statement.
The meeting concluded with a recommendation to hold a series of meetings and workshops, to achieve the mission's objectives and activate the academic team's partnership.
