Barzani: Omicron injuries in the region are a matter of concern

    The President of the Kurdistan Government, Masrour Barzani, confirmed today, Thursday, that the registration of Omicron injuries in the region is a matter of concern. 

    Barzani said, in a tweet to him on the "Twitter" platform, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the registration of a number of Omicron cases in Dohuk is a matter of concern," adding that he "assigned the Minister of Health to work on the ministry's teams to limit its spread.". 

    He continued, "I urge to adhere to the instructions and take the vaccine so that the region remains protected.". 

    The Ministry of Health announced, earlier today, Thursday, that 5 cases of Omicron had been recorded for returning travelers.
    And the ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "cases of the Omicron were recorded for a number of returnees from travel, through genetic tracking tests conducted by the Central Public Health Laboratory in Baghdad."
