Salih: The terrorist incident in Basra is a desperate attempt to destabilize the country

    The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the terrorist incident in Basra was a desperate attempt to destabilize the country. 

    President Saleh said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the criminal terrorist incident that targeted the people of Basra at this time is a desperate attempt to destabilize the country. 

    He added, "We have to unite and support the state and its security services, because we have no choice but to unite, protect societal peace and security, and punish the perpetrators".
