WHO against imposing travel restrictions due to the Corona mutations

    The World Health Organization confirmed today, Friday, that it is not currently advising countries to impose travel restrictions due to the new strain of Corona in the absence of a specific understanding of the level of transmission and the severity of its infection after it was detected in South Africa . 

    "Let me reiterate our official position: WHO recommends that countries continue to adopt a scientific, risk-based approach at the current stage, and we reiterate once again that we do not recommend travel restrictions," Christian Lindmeier said during a regular press conference for United Nations agencies
